December 2007
The building is progressing very well, it has to be, because the opening is on December 29th .
On December 5th, Thea, her husband Herman (a very experienced carpenter), her son Erik (plumber and electrician), her friend Tiny (she will assist with establishing and cleaning) and Richard (a German friend, mason and tiler) will leave for Ghana. They will finish the last details and help the Ghanese constructors with their work. In the 3 containers, which were sent last October, were many tiles. Herman, Richard and the Ghanese constructors will place them.
• The children will live in the orphanage from the day of opening on.

The founding of the foundation is officialy March 24th, 2005. A lot of people have donated.
The foundation in the Netherlands is looking after the Ghanees foundation. Thea has met a couple of people who are adequate to join the foundation. They are the teacher of the village of Egyam, a catholic priest who is now Monsignor, a Bishop,a social worker and a member of Parliament.
We will check their expenses and ask responsibility for money that has been spent. This is the way we can control expenses and see to it everything is done properly.
